Clients purchase food and beverages and arrange rentals. We staff and run the event you've planned, and we'll tell you what we need on hand to do it well.
Our standard
We started this company around one idea: the host should not be the person clearing plates. Everything we do (how we plan, how we staff, how we leave a home) follows from that.

Who we are
Set & Serve Long Island Event Staff is a hospitality staffing company serving Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. We provide the people (servers, bartenders and reset crews) who keep a well-planned event running calmly on the day.
We work in private homes, backyards and tents, venues, and offices. Sometimes we are the only vendor on site. Just as often we are working alongside a caterer, a planner or a venue team, following their timeline and staying out of the way.
We are deliberately careful about what we claim. You will not find invented credentials, borrowed reviews or made-up numbers on this site. What you will find is a clear description of what our staff do, and a written plan before you commit to anything.

Our standard
These are the commitments our team works to at every event: the practical version of “be a guest at your own event.”
Staff arrive with time to walk the space, confirm the plan with you, and set up before guests appear.
Clean, pressed uniforms in the style you choose, and a calm, low-profile presence in your home.
Empty glasses noticed, platters refreshed, plates cleared, before anyone has to look for help.
Careful handling of your dishware, linens, furniture and floors, indoors and out.
Continuous tidying through the event, so the room looks composed at hour four as it did at hour one.
Leftovers organized, rentals gathered, trash consolidated, and event spaces reset before we go.
How we think about scope
Being useful means being honest about where our work starts and stops.
Clients purchase food and beverages and arrange rentals. We staff and run the event you've planned, and we'll tell you what we need on hand to do it well.
Our bartenders serve the beverages you provide. They do not supply or sell alcohol, and they pace service responsibly.
Every inquiry gets a written plan covering team size, timing, scope and any minimums before a date is held.
Resources & journal
Practical writing on planning event staffing at home. These pieces are in progress. Nothing filler, nothing padded.
A practical way to think about guest count, service style and how long your event runs.
Setup, prep, pouring, glassware and breakdown, plus what stays the host's responsibility.
Everything worth deciding before you request staff: timing, rentals, service style and reset.
Send your event date and town. We will review availability and follow up with a staffing plan.
Plan your event
Share a few details and we will review availability, then follow up with a staffing plan built around your date, guest count and service style.
No obligation
An inquiry is a request, not a booking. You will always see the plan before anything is confirmed.
Availability checked first
We confirm staff availability for your date and town before we discuss details.
